For the Recreation Vehicle enthusiast, the new McCall RV Resort on the Payette River in McCall with clubhouse, indoor pool and spa offers a beautiful setting and convenient location to downtown McCall and surrounding venues. DETAILS: 208.634.1418.
The 630 acre North Beach Area of Payette Lake has the largest public sandy beach on the lake and 22 non-reservable campsites at the Northwest Passage Campground. The area is great for canoeing on the Payette River which empties into Payette Lake at this location and is a wildlife sanctuary for deer, elk, fox, bear, moose, bald eagles, osprey, loon, and coyote. Don’t leave the camera home like we did last summer when we were treated to a rare sighting of an absolutely magnificent bull moose chomping on reeds in the marshlands.
